This paper presents our attempt to educate not only analytical procedures but also design and presentation abilities to the students through a subject named "Environmental Engineering Laboratory". A report on amenity design of neighboring rivers based on the results of water quality investigation was included in the subject. Furthermore, the students were given an opportunity to present the results and their design at the last term of the subject. Those attempts resulted in a superior effect of environmental education on the students.
