This is the second report paper based on the results of research and analysis about "reading". The targets of the survey are students in the second grade in National Institute of Technology, Kisarazu College. As a result of the survey, in order to promote the reading activities of students, we understood that it is important to store the books they want to read in the library, turn the library into a "comfortable space" for them, and casually encourage them to encounter books. In addition, the concrete proposals from the students encouraged interaction and communication with people, those were very suggestive.
The purpose of this paper is to find out the law of Kafu Nagai's mental activity. The author took the method of analyzing his diary "Saiyuunisiisyou" in his overseas life and reconsidering the balance between his life and spirit. As a result, the following was found. Kafu Nagai puts writing activities first, and when he cannot devote himself to it, he tends to feel guilty. Also, his father has a strong influence on his life, and he is more likely to choose a liberal life to escape from it.The life and writings of Ogai Mori, whom he respects, had a strong influence on the way he lived. Under the above conditions, his spirit grew as he patrolled between a life centered on writing activities and a free-spirited life in a circular motion.
This paper examines the issue of deepfake technology from technological and ethical perspectives. This technology has the potential to revise the traditional notion of replication and undermine the evidentiary capabilities of video and audio. The development of deepfakes also risks creating a threat to authentication technology. Pornographic videos using deepfake technology have also become a social problem. Therefore, this paper examines what possible countermeasures can be taken to address the risks of this new technology. Moreover, we argue that engineers who develop AI programs should consider the risks seriously.
Many attempts to “TOEIC®” test have been made since it was introduced into the National Institute of Technology, Kisarazu College. An ideal score the students mark depends on the aims and the goals of their future, but we still do not establish effective ways of leading them to our basic level of over 400 points. Providing
objective and useful data, current status and issues of TOEIC test at Kisarazu College will be discussed in this paper. In addition, I will propose a strategy for improving the motivation of students’ self-learning for TOEIC test.
Hatta Yoichi is widely known in Taiwan for the business he has accomplished before World War Ⅱ. Though little has been done on his writings. He wrote a lot in technical magazines, etc. He wrote about politics, philosophy and international issues as well as civil engineering. Many of Hatta’s claims were influenced by the situation in Japan during the war. To understand his character, we need to review his writings.
Fukuzawa Yukichi had told the good point of Western civilization to Japanese people in the Meiji era. He hated strongly Feudal system and Confucianism for the lack of freedom and agreed the collapse of Tokugawa Shogunate ⅲ 19 centuries. He was a member of Samurai class and liked this class for their courage, intellect and shame. He had thought that Samurai should lead Japanese people for the time being.
In recent years, we are surrounded by a variety of vibrations. Vibrations are causing problems such as machinery and building damage. To examine vibration characteristics of object are important in order to solve vibration problems. Vibration testing using a shaking table is a useful method to examine the vibration characteristics such as aseismic capacity of buildings for earthquakes and ride comfort of vehicles for vertical vibration. However, it’s necessary to design a controller which can reproduce the target vibration such as earthquake waves accurately. Moreover, a controller that can suppress disturbances is also needed. The purpose of this study is to design a feedback control system with good disturbance suppression performance by Dual Model Matching.
In this paper, an environmental measurement system capable of measuring indoor room temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and carbon dioxide concentration has been developed and evaluated. Indoor environmental measurement system consists microcomputer server with operating system, variety of sensors and microcomputer includes wireless LAN. This system uses multiple environmental measurement circuits to measure room temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and carbon dioxide concentration indoors, which can be displayed on the web. This study shows that it is possible to collect data that can be used as an indicator of the indoor environment, and with further development, it is also possible to detect things such as 3C's.
Engineering Practice I is the lecture opened for the first-year students in advanced civil and environmental engineering course. This paper shows an activity of the students in the engineering practice. GOSHUIN is red ink
stamps of shrines and temples. Recently, many people are going around temples and shrines and collecting GOSHUIN. In the engineering practice, temples and shrines providing GOSHUIN around the Minato-exist of Kisarasu station were investigated and mapped. Based on this GOSHUIN MAP, tourism promotion by GOSHUIN is discussed.
Although “Heidi, the Girl of the Alps” is known to many people, little is known about its author, Johanna Spyri, and her works other than “Heidi”. The students at NIT, Kisarazu College have been required to take “General Education Seminar” in their third year. I had been working on Johanna Spyri’s ”Heidi” and other works at the seminar for several years. The purpose of this paper is to introduce her “Stories for children and for those who love children”.
Is our current control theory sufficient to contribute to the sustainability of this planet? We express skepticism about the appropriateness of the status quo with the traditional representation of control systems on control
theory. In Chapter 2, we briefly review the traditional representation of control systems. In Chapter 3, we present the concern about the representation, based on the original perspective that the control theory is a technology for human beings. In Chapter 4, we focus on some of the implicit assumptions as a first step in addressing that concern. Specifically, I propose a novel representation that recognizes the components of the control system from a broader perspective than before. If you are a future person who knows better control theory than we do now, and this paper seems childish to you, I am glad either way.
