Abstract
In the physical education classes, the students' motivation for learning tends to be affected by the differences of the students' abilities to exercise. Therefore, it is necessary to contrive and improve the instruction methods which change the students' passive attitudes toward physical exercises. In this study,we improved the teaching methods for the swimming classes in Kisarazu National College of Technology, and then the students' sttitudes toward the swimming classes were investigated.In addition,the students' swimming abilities were investigated to clarify the problems in improving the swimming classes.
