In 1991 the department of liberal arts education in every university was broken down in Japan. In the same year the new curriculum ""Special Research in General Education"" began in Kisarazu national college of technology. It was a third grade required course and was assigned one unit for the full year. For this reason it had been implicated as graduate research of general education. Over time it had been becoming an effective method of liberal arts education in college of technology. In this paper it summarizes the evolution of "Special Research in General Education" and we explore the way it should be future.
