Abstract
Fukuzawa Yukichi had told the good point of Western civilization to Japanese people in the Meiji era. He hated strongly Feudal system and Confucianism for the lack of freedom and agreed the collapse of Tokugawa Shogunate ⅲ 19 centuries. He was a member of Samurai class and liked this class for their courage, intellect and shame. He had thought that Samurai should lead Japanese people for the time being.
