Abstract
Is our current control theory sufficient to contribute to the sustainability of this planet? We express skepticism about the appropriateness of the status quo with the traditional representation of control systems on control theory. In Chapter 2, we briefly review the traditional representation of control systems. In Chapter 3, we present the concern about the representation, based on the original perspective that the control theory is a technology for human beings. In Chapter 4, we focus on some of the implicit assumptions as a first step in addressing that concern. Specifically, I propose a novel representation that recognizes the components of the control system from a broader perspective than before. If you are a future person who knows better control theory than we do now, and this paper seems childish to you, I am glad either way.
