Taxonomical notes and keys to the seven species of the genus Aptychella reported from Japan (Musci, Pylaisiadelphaceae)

Abstract

Total seven species of the genus Aptychella （Pylaisiadelphaceae, Musci） are recognized from Japan: they are A. brevinervis （M.Fleisch.） M.Fleisch., A. oblongifolia H.Akiyama, A. minutissima H.Akiyama, Shevock & M.Matsumoto, A. robusta （Broth.） M.Fleisch. s. lat., A. rubiginosa H.Akiyama, N.Printarakul & N.Hayashida, A. viridis H.Akiyama, and A. yakumontana H.Akiyama & N.Hayashida. Brief descriptions, distribution in Japan, and taxonomic notes are given for all species.
