A series of researches for reducing the operating temperature of the metal vapor lasers has been carried out. Vapor-complex reactions between metallic copper and metal-chlorides are found effective in reducing the operating temperature. The results obtained by the mass spectroscopic analysis support the presumption that the metal vapor is probably generated through a process of the vapor-complex reaction.
