Abstract
Recently, W. L. Bade and J. G. Kirkwood have calculated the energy of the dispersion interaction of one dimensional lattice expanding it in powers of the parameter α/a3 (where α is the molecular polarizability and A is the nearest neighbor distance) and computed up to the eight order.
But their calculation is confined only one dimensional lattice, and can't be obtained in closed form. In this paper, we calculate two and three dimensional lattices from a different point of view, and obtain the closed form of the dispersion energy of cubic lattices.
