A resonating Hartree-Fock method constructs many-fermion wavefuctions by superposition of non-orthogonal Slater determiants The orbitals of all the Slater determinants as well as thier superposition coefficients are variationally determined. From the structures of the optimized Slater determinants, we can visualize quantum fluctuations and find phyics behind the complicated quantum many-body effects. We briefly review this method and report our recent researches on the two-dimensional Hubbard model.
