Spleen cells from a BALB/c mouse with splenic Rauscher disease were cultivated in vitro for approximately 3 months. Some of the AKR mice developing Rauscher disease as a result of inoculation of the cell-free culture fluid showed peculiar renal glomerular hyalinization and Feulgen-positive Hematoxylin bodies in the kidneys and lungs.
