Estimating CO₂ Emission about Construction Industry in All-Japan Municipalities

Abstract

This research aims to estimate the amount of CO₂ emission from construction work and civil engineering in prefectures and CO₂ emission from construction work in all-Japan municipalities. In 2004, municipalities that have emitted huge amount of CO₂ are located in The Pacific Belt Zone. Comparing with 2004 emission with 1990 in 723 cities and wards, 96 (13%) cities and wards are increasing emission, and 627(87%) cities and wards are decreasing emission. It is clear that far many cities and wards are decreasing emission than increasing cities and wards.
