Abstract
In the existing research which analyzed the data of the Energy Saving Act in transport operators, it is identified that the bigger a business scale becomes, there exists a tendency in the more operators that the basic unit of CO2 emission will improve. However, the details have not been fully validated. Regarding the regression expression showing the amount of CO2 emission in transport operators, it is possible to set up a double logarithmic model formula which takes into account of scale effect as well as a model formula which does not take into account of scale effect, other than a single logarithmic model formula which takes into account of scale effect. In this study, while the characteristics of scale effect were identified by using a concept etc. concerning value of elasticity, the result of the regression analysis was compared and a review was conducted to choose an appropriate regression expression for each transportation segment.
