Visualization of Recognition among Departments of Local Government on Climate Change Adaptation Planning

Abstract

In this study, we tried to grasp the themes discussed at the co-design workshop (WS) which administrative officials belonging to the departments related to climate change adaptation planning and researchers participated, and to identify the recognition and the issues in local government’s adaptation planning by visualizing the relationship between the themes and the departments. As the result of this, we were able to identify 12 themes such as "setting numerical targets" and "forecast of precipitation," and for example, it was revealed that the issues the environmental departments has was how to manage to the progress of the plan, and the agricultural sector faced the problem in providing information to farmers.
