Factor Analysis on Harmonizing Renewable Energy with Local Community

Focus on the Promotion of Renewable Energy in Rural Village Act

Abstract

The introduction of renewable energy is being promoted in Japan, but the issue of introducing renewable energy has been pointed out as the issue of harmony with the region and facilitation of local coordination. This study aims to clarify factors enabling harmony of renewable energy and local community focus on the Act on the Promotion of Renewable Energy Electric Power Generation Harmonized with Sound Develop. The results suggest that it was clarified actual status of the harmony such as contents of creation of benefits for local areas. Renewable energy projects with the law applied could be divided into 2 type, “Development of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries” and “Problem Solving in Local Communities”.
