Abstract
A questionnaire survey was conducted in 25 municipalities that have experience in field breeding of storks by 2023. The results showed that in many municipalities, the department that handles cultural properties was responsible for the field breeding. Human resource and cost issues were pointed out. About half of the respondents were interested in the utilization of storks as a local resource in education. Seventeen municipalities were interested in collaboration with local governments. Interest in cooperation among the neighboring area was selected most frequently, and information sharing was cited. The expansion of a social environment that can accommodate field breeding is necessary for stable habitat, and a system that can improve human resources and costs is urgently needed.
