Abstract
The Ca-based solidification material has neutral character for pH and natural color like soils, so that it is paid attention to as a new material in civil engineering field instead of cement.
In a previous research, we showed that compression strength of the concretes using this material and compression strength of AE concretes have equivalent strength under same mixture condition, so that concretes using this material will be effective material on strength as new civil engineering material. In addition, the behavior under compression loading for concretes using this material showed tendency similar to cement concretes because its behavior showed non-linear behavior.
Therefore, this research furthermore investigated on characteristics of compressive strength for concretes using Ca-based solidification material through compressive strength test. In particular, this investigation focused on curing method and curing period to consider effects of wetting and drying and long-term strength. Based on the results of tests, the emphasis was placed on the following:(1)The strength in natural curing is stronger than the strength in water curing as for the early-age compressive strength of Ca concretes.(2)The strength in water curing was stronger than the strength in natural curing as for after 28-day compressive strength of Ca concretes.(3)The compressive strength of Ca concrete obtained stable strength when it had curing for four weeks.
