Abstract
The Segregation of the concrete, it is a phenomenon that the distribution of constituent materials is not uniform. There are two types of Segregation, one bleeding phenomenon that water is lifted to the concrete top, the other is a local concentration phenomenon of coarse aggregate. In this study, we focus on the segregation of mortar and coarse aggregate, as a method for determining the quantitative segregation resistance and proposed the new segregation model. The proposed segregation model was formulated to depend on the rheological properties and the pressure of internal fresh concrete. In addition, the Segregation coefficients used in the expression was determined using the rheological constants of mortar(plastic viscosity and yield value). In order to verify the effectiveness of the segregation model, we performed the slump flow test to examine the coarse aggregate distribution. Furthermore, we performed a slump flow analysis using the MPS method introduced segregation model, examined the validity of the segregation model and segregation Coefficient by comparing the experimental results. Besides, we have been using a modified MPS method for accuracy improvement of pressure calculation to slump flow analysis. As a result, some of are made good reproducibility test results in formulation, the proposed segregation model and segregation Coefficient was determined to be reasonable.
