Abstract

This paper discusses the compositions of hydrated high volume blast furnace slag cement (HVBFSC) containing 60% blast furnace slag (BFS), 5% anhydrate and 30% ordinary Portland cement (OPC) with various admixtures by using XRD and SEM-EDS method. Ca(NO22, diethanol-isopropanolamine and their mixtures are used as admixtures. Regardless the kind of admixtures, C-S-H, AFt, calcium hydroxide and a small amount of AFm and hydrotalcite (HT) are formed, Mg/Al of HT was obtained from the relation between Mg/Si and Al/Si was measured by SEM-EDS, Al was corrected and Al/Ca was obtained. Ca/Si is determined by relation between Si/Ca corrected Al/Ca in C-S-H. Ca/Si of C-S-H is not changed and Al/Si of C-S-H in hydrated HVBFS is increased by addition of admixtures. Because BFS is accelerated by these admixtures.'
