The biosynthetic pathways of flavonoids and the enzymes involved in those pathways are shown in Figures 1, 2, 3, and 4, and Table 1. The flavonoids in the metabolic maps include flavones, flavanones, dihydroflavonols, leucoanthocyanidins, flavonols, anthocyanidins and flavanols (catechins).
