Abstract
Calluses were induced from stem segments of young tea shoot on Murashige & Skoog's medium containing 3% sucrose, 0.8% agar, 10-6M 2, 4-D and 10-5M kinetin. These calluses were incubated at 24°C, 28°C and 32°C under dark respectively. Growth of calluses were accelerated more at 32°C than at other two temperature conditions. So, it was cleared that the optimum temperature for the growth of calluses was higher than 28°C. And the temperature 32°C was included in the range of suitable temperature for callus growth.
