Abstract
S-1108 was administered clinically, and the following results were obtained.
1) S-1108 was administered to a total of 11 patients, 5 with acute and 6 with chronic respiratory tract infections, and clinical responses were good in 9 patients, poor in 1, unevaluable in 1
2) S-1108 eradicated Klebsiella oxytoca isolated from 1 patient.
3) Side effects consisted of mild thirst in 1 case. Increase of CK in 2 cases was noted.
4) We consider S-1108 to be a useful oral cephem antibiotic in the treatment of respiratory infections.
