Abstract
We evaluated the clinical efficacy and safety of S-1108, a new cephem antibiotic. S-1108 was administered to 14 patients with infections. The patients received the drug orally for 5 to 8 days in doses of 225-600mg/day. The clinical effect was excellent in 5 patients, good in 8, and poor in 1. No side effects were observed, but GOT and LDH were mildly elevated in one patient after administration of S-1108.
