Abstract
Clinical studies in the field of obstetrics and gynecology were carried out on SY5555, a new oral penem.
SY5555 was administered to 13 patients with gynecological infections, including salpingitis, adnexitis, and Bartholin's abscess.
The clinical efficacy was good in 8 (efficacy rate; 8/8), and not evaluable in 5.
No side effects were observed. Laboratory findings showed slight elevation of GOT, GPT, ALP and γ-GTP in one patient.
