This study evaluates the types of transaction structures in local firms that can help revitalize regional economies, focusing on the impact of business trade networks on regional economies. While previous studies identified a positive correlation between the balance of goods and services data and regional income data obtained from the prefectural accounts, this study confirmed that in/out transfers in inter-regional transactions show a positive correlation with regional income even from inter-firm transaction data. Although a regional economy cannot necessarily be judged quantitatively, an analytical perspective for regional economic growth/revitalization was developed using transaction data values as indicators. By transaction structure, the three major metropolitan areas exhibit the local service type, which generates many intra-regional transactions, and the connector type, which generates foreign currency acquisition. In addition to the national-link type, which generates significant extraterritorial transactions, the local service type and the connector type both generate a large amount of money circulation in a regional economy. Since this method was developed for quantitatively understanding a regional economy by elaborating the transaction structure on an individual company basis, it is expected to apply to future analyses.
