In order to ascertain the species variation in the influence of inclination of tube upon erythrocyte sedimentation in domestic animals, blood sedimentation rate were measured at the range of 0° to 45° slope to vertical. The principal results obtained are as follows. (Fig.1-3 in Japanese text)
1. Very significant effects of the inclination of tube on the sedimentation rate were confirmed at all instances.
2. The correlation between the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR for short) and the inclination of tube were grouped into four phases; first period, second period, third period and fourth period. The appearance of these phases seem to be in close connection with the blood sedimentation types. (Fig. 4 and Table 1)
3.Moreover, the acceleration ratio at 30° slope to vertical were calculated; Slope acceleration ratio=ESR at 30° slope to vertical/ESP at the vertical position The results obtained are shown in Fig. 5. The relation between the slope acceleration ratio and the erythrocyte sedimentation types seem to be shown in Fig. 6. And the correlation between the ESR and the slope acceleration ratio are shown in Fig. 7.
