Abstract
Protein component of bovine allantoic fluid and amniotic fluid was studied by comparing with that of bovine fetal serum. Fetal serum contained a specific protein named α-fetoprotein (αFP) which was not present in adult serum. It was clarified by immunoelectrophoresis, disc electrophoresis and immnuo-disc electrophoresis using antifetal serum absorbed with adult serum that αFP occupied main part of protein component in bovine allantoic fluid and amniotic fluid.
