The result of a new type of antithrombotic treatment with nialamide in a group of 42 patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction was reported. In the control group of 21 patients 8 cases died, while in the nialamide group of 21 patients 1 case died. The treatment is promising through the assessment of the result by Pathologic Index Rating (Schnur1)). The theoretical basis for the use of new type of antithrombotic treatment with MAO inhibitor was also detailed.
