This study has two purposes. One is to clarify the mental state about conformity or dissimilarity of fashion・clothing selection and wearing in modern society where fashion・clothing is standardized. The other is to clarify the relationship between the mental state and interpersonal distance. The research was put into operation by each questionnaire. The Main results were as follows : ①In such a case as fashion・clothing the results were much the same, people have negative feelings in mind, even if the one wearing it is their bosom friend. ②Having negative feelings, one's attitude tends not to express it although one is uncomfortable. In short, although psychological distance is long, physical distance doesn't become long.
