Abstract
We investigated the gesture frequency in the explanation on three conditions of the receiver, which were "doll", "stranger", and "known peer". Six-year-olds, 11-year-olds, and 20-year-olds took part in the explanation task of animated cartoon. As a result, the gesture frequencies among age groups show the J-shape in doll receiver, the U-shape in stranger receiver, and no significant differences in known peer receiver.
