Concrete Foundational Technology Research Committee, Delivery Working Group Active Report “Questionnaire Survey on Concrete Delivery”

Abstract

The Delivery Working Group of the Concrete Foundational Technology Research Committee conducted a nationwide questionnaire survey targeting ready-mixed concrete plants and transport companies to clarify the realities of concrete delivery and disseminate information that contributes to the sound development of both the ready-mixed concrete and construction industries. This survey revealed that driver education and the maintenance and inspection of delivery vehicles are appropriately conducted, and many plants implement measures to suppress quality changes during transport and delivery. However, significant issues remain, such as the aging of drivers and continued requests for measures to reduce the generation of leftover and returned concrete.
