Abstract
Cracked hinges of reinforced concrete Gerber's bridge were repaired by re-casting concrete for the broken-up parts. High-strength and shrinkage compensated concrete mixed with water reducing agent and expansive cement was cast against construction joint pre-coated with epoxy resin and reinforced with resin anchored steel. Since the failure of fixed bearing of the hinges was probably caused by repeated stress concentration of bearing rod tightly bonded to concrete, the bearing rod embedded in suspended span was made bondless admitting small displacement.
