Tests on the Prestressed Concrete Beam and Steel Column Assemblies used for Major Structures of Multi-Layered Man Made Earth

Abstract

The multi-layered man made earth was planned for the application to the Asabata rejion, Shizuoka prefecture. Steel columns and prestressed concrete decks were used as the major structure of man made earth, This paper reports on the test results of prestressed concrete beam and steel column assemblies as a part of the major structure and some discussions on the aseismic safety of the major structures.
