Abstract
This paper presents the state of the art of current research on the behavior of reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete structures under impulsive loading (soft impact) and development on the method of improvement of impact resistance. The certain directions in future research on the concrete structures under impulsive loading are shown in the last part of the paper standing on the present situation.
