Abstract
The present study examined the process of expression of interpersonal gratitude via structural equation modeling. Participants were 388 elementary school students from 4th to 6th grades (197 boys and 191 girls). The accepted model through comparing six hypothetical models showed that interpersonal gratitude and friendship influenced the expression of gratitude mediated by intention for expressing gratitude. The bootstrapped method indicated that the mediating effect of the intention for expressing gratitude was significant. These findings provide a useful viewpoint regarding intervention for developing an expression of interpersonal gratitude in school education.
