Abstract
This paper aims to describe the actual conditions of usage and clarify the problems of compensation site caused by relocation of the houses around the Osaka International Airport. Firstly we clarify the process of occurrence, and the distribution in the area, of compensation sites. Secondly we describe their present situation of usage of the sites and clarify its problems through the site survey. In spite of the facts that this airport is getting more important position as an urban institution by mitigation of noise today, and the compensation sites have important meaning as land for activation of the area around airport, their usage is very limited by multiple reasons.
