The oleate LDH intercalation compounds were synthesized by a reconstruction method where calcined hydrotalcite was allowed to react with sodium oleate aqueous solution under a hydrothermal condition. A dispersibility of the intercalation compound in various organic solvents was investigated. Oriented films were obtained by casting the n-hexane suspension on a glass substrate.
