Co(II) cations were intercalated into the interlayer space of magadiite by the ion exchange reactions with aqueous CoCl2 solutions. The adsorbed amounts of Co(II) on magadiite were controlled by the loaded amounts. Blue colored samples were obtained by the reactions. The changes in the structure and the color of the Co(II)-magadiite by the heat treatment were investigated.
