In 2014, we started studying the bioactive components from natural products with the budget for the Faculty of Science and Technology research project. In particular, we used medicinal plants in Myanmar because, due to the seclusion of Myanmar for many years, there are many herbal medicines originating from Myanmar that have not been studied. In this review, we summarize the contents of three papers: "Isolation and Elucidation of Chemical Constituents from Medicinal Plants in Myanmar and Their Biological Activities", "The Rosiglitazone - Like Effects of Vitexilactone, a Constituent from Vitex trifolia L. in 3T3-L1 Preadipocyte", and "Mansonone E from Mansonia gagei Inhibited α-MSH-induced Melanogenesis in B16 Cells". We then discuss the future directions for us to study Myanmar's crude drugs.
