Abstract
What is "music therapy"? What is it that defines music therapy? There are many ways of defining music therapy as it is applied to a wide variety of fields, such as medical care, welfare, and education. The objective of this article is to identify the essence of music therapy by considering the definition of the word "therapy" alongside the definitions of words such as "curing", "caring", and "healing".
