Hydrogen-absorbing alloys have various application branches not only for hydrogen storage but for thermal technology, electrochemistry, catalysis and so on. A few years ago, their practical use for secondary battery was started and now development researches for their further improvement are very active. In this paper, after a brief interpretation on Ni-hydride battery, a concept about the alloy-designing was discussed from the stand point of the atom radii and the electronegativities of constituent elements in the alloys.
