There is a phenomenon at DC magnetic measurement of soft magnetic material that the larger relative permeability and quicker measuring speed for hysteresis loop cause an increase in the apparent coercive force. It was recognized that the increase in the coercive force was caused by the delay of magnetization, and depended on the permeability in the magnetic soft iron. Then the study was performed to investigate the coercive force as a function of the resistivity in iron-base soft magnetic material. The delayed magnetization depended on the resistivity as well as the permeability of the material. Furthermore it changed with the thickness of specimen. Such a phenomenon can be explained from a view point of the penetration depth of magnetic field. Finally a method to evaluate the intrinsic value of coercive force was proposed.
