Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine the impact of playing a game about loss in life on well-being. We conducted an exploratory study using the one-group pretest-posttest design with 12 working adults, using the game “Dice of Destiny” and the “Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS)”. The results showed that the value of perceiving one's own life as excellent increased significantly before and after the game experience, and the effect size was large. These results suggest that experiencing a game may enhance the subjective awareness well-being of players.
