Abstract
A fundamental understanding of information literacy is essential for advancing DX and utilizing digital tools in
society. Challenges include the complexity of specialized terminology and maintaining motivation to learn. This study
conducted a pilot implementation using prototype materials centered on repetitive vocabulary learning, considering the
relationship between learner characteristics (BIG5) and gamification elements. Results from a small-scale questionnaire
suggest that the format of repeating short challenges with immediate feedback may contribute to ease of learning and promote
initial understanding. However, challenges were also identified, such as the monotony of repetitive learning and the need for
connection and integration with practical skill acquisition. Based on these findings, we will explore approaches for
sustainable and developmental learning support in information literacy through optimization according to learner
characteristics and the enhancement of game-like elements.
