Abstract
This paper expands on C. Thi Nguyen's argument, which focuses on the process of striving for a game goals rather than the goals themselves, and considers the process that occurs when players want to clear the video games. In
conclusion, it argues that the process in which the player analyzes and evaluates the abilities and environment given to them is important in video games.
Furthermore, this paper suggests that players still engage in this process even in ”free” play, which Nguyen rejects as a way of playing game works.
