Abstract
Game development technology and game-like methods have been used in other fields and are expected to be applied in more fields in the future. I have developed and distributed a free smartphone application ”Sugoroku.com,” which shows more than 430,000 museums and historical sites over the world on a map by combining multiple open data sources. It is an educational application that supports self-derected inquiry based learning. This paper reports on the practice of developing applications in non-game fields using game development technology and game-like methods.
