Abstract
An automatic correction test program has been prepared and examined for correction of the imput data with misspelling terms. Correction action is performed by matching the input term against the authority file consisting of the groups of descriptors. The same kind is already used in the INIS (International Nuclear Information System), however, the scope of correction is wider in the developed method. Though there still remain some problems, such as core size, data file format and matching method, to be solved for its practical usage, the fundamentals involed may be applicable to the data processing of other character data also, if the authority file can be prepared.
