Abstract
A computerized trademark management system developed by the Patent Department of Kao Soap Co., Ltd. is described as an example of the reduction of labor in management work. A large scale computer (UNIVAC-11O0/21) is applied in this system, and the online renewal and search of the trademark files are easily performed. Many kinds of indexes and statistical tables of the trademarks are also rapidly made batchwise. By using this system, the labor in the trademark management decreases remarkably and further improvement of the management work is expected.
