Abstract
The University of Tsukuba, Science Information Processing Center provides online searching of LISearch Tape (produced by Learned Information (Europe) Ltd.), using online information retrieval system, IDEAS/77 (Integrated Database Easy Accessing System 77). All bibliographic elements in LISA are stored and authors, subject index phrases, classifications, and abstract numbers are searchable. Because the subject index is not complete controlled vocabulary, there are some problems with subject searching. In order to research on trends of library and information science, we collect statistics on subject index terms by IDEAS/77 utilities.
