Abstract
The relation of the number of scientific and technical literature and the number of scientist and research & development expenditure is shown in linked vector graphs. The number of journal published in Japan is highly correlated to the number of scientists which is lagged one year to account for delays. It's also related to the ammount of research & development expenditure. The number of patent application in Japan is correlated to the number of scientists. The number of books published in Japan is not significantly related to the number of scientists and expenditure. The relation of the number of scientific and technical books published and the number of scientists and expenditure in the world is also shown in linked vector graph. The number of book is also related to expenditure and scientists.
